We took on this challenging project at an office building in Albuquerque with the task of putting in a new tile floor and building a unique water feature inside their lobby. The building wanted a more contemporary looking floor, replacing the old linoleum with travertine tile.
However, the client also wanted the travertine to draw people into the building, so we utilized two different types of stone, one with a light color, the other dark, and created a decorative “pathway” that lead people into the heart of the lobby.
We were also asked to create a water feature that utilized some unique pieces of rock supplied by the client. We created a pool using locally sourced flagstone, and lined the bottom with local river rock.
